What is your favorite word? I'm not a "womyn" or anything but for some reason, I think the word "emasculate" is delightful. Ha.
What is your least favorite word? Crusty. The mental images that pop up when I read or hear that word typically have nothing to do with bread or pie. Yuck!
What turns you on [creatively, spiritually or emotionally]?
Creatively: Hmm. Lately, not much. I guess nature is a great place to start, but I've felt so mediocre and uninspired for the past few years, I've pretty much given up on photography. I'm sure if I got a digital SLR my creativity would fly through the roof, but sadly that's not something I can afford right now (or for quite a while) and film just doesn't do it for me anymore since I don't have access to a free dark room.
Spiritually: Nothing. I'm an atheist. My friends and my family are what keep me going, and they're all I need (not to mention, I know they exist).
Emotionally: Affection! I love me some affection, as long as it's coming from someone I'd like it to come from. A great sense of humor is a very, very close second.
What turns you off? Those who are ignorant, naive, unrealistic, shallow, shady, fake, social-climbing, snobby, racist, ethnocentric, idiotic, loud, obnoxious, bad drivers, naysayers, back-stabbers, and assholes.
What is your favorite curse word? Fuck, in any of it's many, many forms.
What sound or noise do you love? My neice and nephew bursting with laughter, a really great song, cicadas chirping in the summertime, waves crashing into the beach, birds chirping when I'm not trying to sleep, wind blowing through leaves on a breezy day...
What sound or noise do you hate? My alarm in the morning, cats or any other type of animal fighting, dogs barking, babies screaming, tires spinning on snow/ice, glass breaking, Southern accents...
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Tour manager for a band I love. That is like my ultimate dream and I wish that I had pursued it, I probably could've pulled it off. I have nothing to keep me in one place (except for my cat) and it would probably be tiring and hectic but incredible.
What profession would you not like to do? Sanitiation worker, school teacher (and I was an elementary ed major for a semester!), police officer, prison guard...any of the obvious answers.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Umm, even if I did believe in Heaven, I doubt I'd be going there. :-P

What's your musical horoscope? (Put your player on shuffle and write down the first 10 songs that come up.)
Inspired by Stephanie.
It's been a while since I wrote on here. I guess because I have nothing much to say. I always check out my Neighborhood, though. I have a personal journal that I keep with much more frequent updates, so check it out and add me if you'd like to, since it's friends-only.
Anyway, here's my "musical horoscope":
- Matt Nathanson - First Time
- Guster - Amsterdam
- Jimmy Eat World - 23
- Kelly Clarkson - Gone
- Beck - Where It's At
- Led Zeppelin - Kashmir
- Our Lady Peace - Naveed
- Granian - Been Too Long
- Ryan Adams - Sweet Illusions
- Bloc Party - Positive Tension
Hmm, just looking at the song titles I have to laugh a bit, since they collectively remind me of some current events in my life. Heh. Any of you have any thoughts as to what these songs might mean?

His name was Alex Lee. I met him at a dance at Delbarton, where most of my friends went to school at the time. Whenever someone asked me who I was bringing to the junior prom and I told them his name, they always asked, "Is he Asian?" Always cracked me up. I went to the Delbarton prom with him, and then he came to the MHS junior prom with me. After the Delbarton prom, we went to the home of the owner of Weichert Realtors, which I guess was pretty cool. Definitely the most huge house with the most land I've ever seen...it was gorgeous.
2. Who was your first roommate?
Well, aside from my sisters, my first roommate in college was named Biljana, aka "Billy." To be honest, I kind of freaked out when I got my room assignment, but Billy wound up to be great. She was nice and courteous when we were in the room, and she went home every weekend so I always had the room to myself, which ruled. Our sophomore year, she became my RA and could be a bit of a hardass at times, but for the most part, it was good.
3. What alcoholic beverage did you first drink?
I have no idea. I'm going to venture to say beer. Probably Budweiser.
4. What was your first job?
Pedal Pusher at Buds for You, a florist in Montclair. The boss was a total creep/psychopath, and I later moved on to work at Accents with Flowers, and infinitely better florist/gift shop with two of the most hilarious bosses ever. I loved it there.
5. What was your first car?
"Liser," my silver 1992 Pontiac Grand Am. I bought it off of my bosses at Accents for a whopping $1,000. She was fast as hell and had a great stereo, but other than that, it was a total piece of shit. The gas tank leaked, the tires were bald, the brakes went out, it randomly stalled, it was rusty, there was no air conditioning, but I still have fond memories of it. The day that I was driving to meet my dad in NJ and get my new car (2002 Pontiac Sunfire, not my choice but I desperately needed a new car) it was raining and I lost control trying to stop because some retard in front of me decided to slam on their brakes for no reason on the Tappan Zee Bridge, and I wound up hydroplaning (yay bald tires!) and hitting the median on the bridge. How I did not hit any other cars and no one else hit me is a miracle, as this was at like 5:30pm. Shaken up, I started my car and drove the rest of the way (concerned that I'd get a flat or my tire would plain ol' fall off), went to the dealership and said goodbye to Liser forever.
8. Who was your first grade teacher?
Where's questions 6 and 7? I have no idea who my first grade teacher was. I moved around a lot when I was a child.
9. Where did you go on your first airplane?
I believe it was to Florida for Disney World, but I don't remember it at all. The first plane ride I remember was to Italy.
10. When you snuck out of your house for the first time, who was it with?
I never had to sneak out of my house, my parents are chill.
11. Who was your first best friend and are you still friends with them?
My first best friend was a girl named Erica. We lived together in the same apartment complex in Parsippany, and then she moved to Morristown and I moved to Rockaway and we lost touch.
12. Where was your first sleepover?
I have no idea. Probably Erica's.
13. Who is the first person you talk to in the morning?
My cat, haha. If you mean a real person, it's usually the security guard as I walk into work.
14. Whose wedding were you in the first time?
My Uncle Joey's (first wedding). I was the flower girl and my dress reminded me of Cinderella, I loved it.
15. What is the first thing you do in the morning?
Hit snooze, duh.
16. What was the first concert you went to?
Billy freakin' Joel at Madison Square Garden. With my mom (shut up, my mom rules). We had the shittiest seats but it was so great.
17. First tattoo or piercing and who went with you?
I had my ears pierced and I don't remember when or who was there. I'm going to venture to say my mom.
18. First celebrity crush?
Probably Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block.
19. First crush?
This kid Mike in my 3rd grade class. I was so in love!
20. First TRUE love??
A guy with the same name as the author of this book...which is pretty hilarious.
21. When was your first detention?
Who knows.
22. When and where was the first time you saw the person who you copied this bulletin from?
Oh man, I don't even know. The Granian show at Arlene's Grocery (or maybe it was Sin-E)? That was probably over a year and a half ago, I'd guess. It's been a REALLY long time since I've seen Erin. I was supposed to stay with her in DC recently but I cancelled the trip.
23. Who will be the first to repost this?
I don't know.
